Introduction

These terms of service govern your use of psychotherapy services provided by Valérie Lacroix, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). By accessing our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

Services Provided

Valérie Lacroix provides psychotherapy services including:

• Individual therapy for adults
• Couples therapy
• Family therapy
• Specialized trauma support
• Neurodiversity-affirming approach

Professional Qualifications

Valérie Lacroix is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). Services are provided under appropriate supervision in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Client Responsibilities

As a client, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Attend scheduled appointments or provide appropriate notice
• Respect payment and cancellation policies
• Maintain confidentiality of other clients
• Inform therapist of any changes in your condition
• Participate actively in the therapeutic process

Appointments and Cancellations

Appointment policies:

• Appointments must be scheduled in advance
• 24-hour notice is required for cancellations
• No-show appointments may be charged
• Late arrivals may reduce available session time
• Emergency cancellations will be handled case-by-case

Payment and Billing

Payment terms:

• Payment is due at time of service unless otherwise arranged
• We accept cash, check, and electronic payments
• Insurance claims will be processed where applicable
• Late fees may apply to overdue accounts
• Payment plans may be available based on need

Confidentiality and Limits

Confidentiality is maintained except in cases of:

• Written client consent
• Imminent risk of harm
• Suspected abuse of children or vulnerable persons
• Court order
• Other legal requirements

Limitations of Liability

Please note that:

• Therapy does not guarantee specific outcomes
• Progress varies among individuals
• Services do not constitute emergency medical care
• In case of emergency, contact emergency services (911)
• Therapist is not liable for actions outside of sessions

Termination of Services

Therapeutic services may be terminated:

• At client request at any time
• By therapist with appropriate notice
• Due to non-payment of fees
• When therapeutic goals are achieved
• For violation of these terms

Changes to Terms

These terms may be updated periodically. Clients will be notified of significant changes. Continued use of services constitutes acceptance of revised terms.
